Living right on the border of New York State and New Jersey affords me a number of places to go hiking. Every Saturday, I slap on my Vasque hiking boots and hit the hills. One of my favorite places is Harriman State Park which is the second largest state park in New York. If you are up for a little shooting there is a range at Bear Mountain Park located at Harriman’s north-eastern edge. The well known Appalachian Trail runs through Harriman as well as dozens of other trails. For a different kind of shooting bring a quality camera with you as there is an abundance of beautiful wildlife to enjoy.
