Some people presume that King Tut was murdered, cutting down his short reign as pharaoh down to just nine years. But apparently, when Howard Carter un-earthed the pharaoh’s tomb in 1922, there were 130 walking sticks in there. This is thought to be because King Tut had a spinal disease – Scoliosis, which meant that he couldn’t turn his head properly. There was also a ‘U’ shape on his throne, where his head would be, to keep his spine straight, when he sat. There’s every chance that he could just as easily have died from this disease, instead of being murdered.
